GOSHEN, N.Y. (AP) — A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to 20 years to life in prison for the beating death of an 81-year-old woman during a break-in seeking drug money.

The Middletown Times Herald-Record (http://bit.ly/2nEEOT6 ) reports that 22-year-old Devin Giordano was sentenced in Orange County Court on Thursday for his February guilty plea on murder, arson and burglary charges.

Prosecutors say Giordano and Jennifer Molyneaux broke into 81-year-old Helen Mills' village of Goshen home in August 2014 to steal money for drugs. Firefighters found Mills' body after extinguishing a blaze set after the homicide.

Molyneaux pleaded guilty to murder in February 2015. She'll be sentenced on April 18.
