Hunting, Fishing Licenses On Sale Today

Albany, NY (WIBX) - Hunters, trappers and fishermen can begin preparing for this season's activities, thanks to the Department of Environmental Conservation.
Starting today, 1,500 stores across the state will sell hunting and fishing licenses, along with Deer Management Permits.

Licenses can also be purchased online or by telephone.

In order to purchase a license, applicants need name and address information, a customer ID number if they have it, and proof of residency.

Hunters must also have a hunting education certificate or a previous license.

Sporting license sales go towards the Conservation Fund, used to protect and maintain wildlife habitats.
