Utica, NY (WIBX) - A program aimed at assisting the elderly clean-up their lawns is coming back for another year.

According to Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, the Third Annual Intergenerational Spring Clean-Up is scheduled for April 30th and May 1st.

For four hours each day, youth volunteers will assist senior citizens by raking and bagging leaves and taking litter to the curb for pickup.

The clean-up program recently won the Albany Guardian Society’s 2010 Great Ideas in Aging Community Based Program Award.
