Utica Common Council candidate Douglas Joslin says he wants to set the record straight.

He joined WIBX First News with Keeler in the Morning on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 to discuss stalking charges pending against him in a case involving current Utica Councilwoman Samantha Colosimo-Testa.

Although Colosimo-Testa has declined to comment on the record because of the pending litigation, Joslin has done just the opposite.  He contacted WIBX, requesting an interview to, as he says, "stop the lies."

His interview aired in two parts.  At the conclusion of the first interview Joslin indicated that he would share with the WIBX staff a legal document that was pertinent to the case.  Having not brought that particular document with him, he went home to get it and then returned to our studio for the second part of the interview.

Because Joslin returned to the studio too close to the show's conclusion on Tuesday, he was offered the opportunity to remain and tape an interview for the following day.  That interview was recorded and broadcast on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.

The video above has been edited only to exclude music that was broadcast at the beginning of the segment as copyright guidelines do not permit WIBX to include copyrighted material on the WIBX YouTube channel.

Joslin, against whom a "stay away" order of protection is currently in effect following his arrest several days ago by Utica Police, is scheduled to answer the charges in court on Monday.
