Jefferson County Schools Placed On Lockout After Threat
The Watertown City School District placed all of its schools on lockout on Tuesday after a non-specific threat was received at the Watertown Daily Times.
According to the Times, an e-mail was received referencing a student being sent into a school building with a bomb.
The source of the threat is believed to have been part of an international hoax.
The lockout has since been lifted.
As a precaution, all after school district activities were cancelled.
The General Brown and Indian River School Districts in Jefferson County also went into lockout status.
