Knicks Rip Cavs, Offense In High Gear
Carmelo Anthony and Anthony Hardaway Jr. each scored 29 to lead to Knicks in another blowout win, this time 117-86 over the Cavaliers on Thursday night at MSG.
It was the fourth straight 'W' for New York and second consecutive rout of an opponent - on Tuesday the Knicks cruised past Boston 114-88.
Hardaway scored the bulk of his points from beyond the arc, hitting 6-of-12 from 3-point range. J.R. Smith had 19 and Raymond Felton added a dozen to go along with nine assists. As a team, the Knicks shot better an 56% from the field.
Kyrie Irving paced the Cavs with 24 points in Cleveland's third straight defeat.
The Knicks will need to keep their offense roaring as they welcome the Miami Heat to the Garden on Saturday night.
