The Mohawk Valley Chapter of The American Red Cross is stepping up once again to assist six displaced by a fire in Remsen.

The fire broke out Wednesday afternoon on Maple Avenue.

Among those displaced were three adults and three children, ages 2, 4 and 5.

The Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as food, shelter, clothing and several other personal care items.

The local Red Cross chapter will continue to be available in the coming days.
