Empire State Development has approved over $100 million in funding for 23 projects across the state.

The projects will create more than 630 jobs and retain over 1,531 existing jobs.

The Griffiss Local Development Corporation will get nearly $600,000 to demolish a building at the Griffiss Business and Technology Park in Rome and create a 25 acre commercial site.

Oneida County will use a $500,000 grant to support the construction of a passenger terminal at the Griffiss International Airport.  That project was completed in this year..

The Town of Verona and the Westmoreland Ambulatory Surgery Center will also get $500,000 and $400,000 respectively for a septic system project and an ambulatory surgery center for orthopedics.
