Long-Term Detour for Prospect Mountain Project

The New York State Department of Transportation says the new westbound flyover bridge for the Prospect Mountain Construction Project on Interstate 81 and Route 17 in Binghamton is done, but a long-term temporary traffic change is going into effect on State Route 7.

The change also includes the Route 7 ramp to Interstate 81 North and State Route 17 West.

The DOT says the Route 7 South Ramp that has been closed since early last year is reopening to allow traffic to get to I81 north and Route 17 west.

There will be signs and pavement markings directing traffic.
