Madison County Boy Approached By Suspicious Man

The Madison County Sheriff's Office is investigating a suspicious incident involving a 12-year old boy.

Deputies say the boy was walking home from Brookfield Central School on Wednesday afternoon when a man driving a black Mercedes Benz stopped, opened the car's passenger door and asked the child if he needed a ride.

The boy declined as his mother approached in her vehicle and the man sped away northbound on Beaver Creek Road.

The driver of the Mercedes is white, about 40 to 50 years old with gray hair and appeared to be balding.
