Madison County Standoff Ends With Arrest

A standoff in the Madison County Town of Sullivan has led to the arrest of a Sullivan man.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office says the standoff began at about 3:15 yesterday morning with a report of shots fired in the area of Lakeshore View Drive.

24-year old Brandon Rudy was taken into custody about seven hours later after tear gas was fired into his home.

The area around the home had to be evacuated during the standoff.

Rudy was charged with reckless endangerment and illegal discharge of a firearm.
