Man Accused Of Throwing Girlfriend Down Flight Of Stairs

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A woman is receiving domestic abuse counseling after she was thrown down a flight of stairs by her boyfriend, according to law enforcement officials. Utica Police say they arrested 40 year old Brian Viscusie of Utica and charged him with Third Degree Assault for the domestic incident on January 24, 2011.

According to the report, Viscusie threw the victim down the stairs last month, causing her to have a collapsed lung and broken ribs. The victim, who told police she lost consciousness after the fall, was treated at St. Luke's Hospital and is currently working with a domestic abuse advocate at the YWCA.
