Man Arrested After Dispute Over Kids Playing With Ball

Utica, NY (WIBX) - A dispute between neighbors landed a Utica man in jail. Officials say 58-year-old Vitaliy Sarkisov of Oneida Street became angry after a ball, being thrown around by his neighbors children, landed in his yard.

The father of the children intervened after Sarkisov started yelling at the kids. He allegedly attempted to attack the father with the hedge clippers he was holding, and was subsequently arrested and charged with 2nd degree Menacing and Criminal Possession of a weapon--both are misdemeanor charges. The suspect will answer the charges at a later date in Utica City Court.
