Man Struck By Van In Utica

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Utica Police say a pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a van.

It happened Thursday night at the intersection of James and Elm Streets.

Police say the man was walking in the roadway pushing a shopping cart when he was hit.

The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.

The driver of the van has been identified as 30-year old Randi Jackson of Clark Mills

The accident investigation is on-going and no charges or tickets have been issued at this time.
