Memorial Day in Utica – What is Open and What is Closed?

Banks: Closed.
Grocery Stores: Open but many, including Hannaford and Price Chopper, have limited hours that vary by location.
Libraries: Closed.
Liquor stores: Most are open but with limited hours.
Museums: Most museums have regular hours. For example, The Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute is closed Memorial Day, as it is every Monday, but the Children's Museum of History, Science, and Technology and Utica is open. The best bet is to check with the museum directly to see if its staff is observing Memorial Day.
Post offices: Closed.
Schools: Closed.
Stores: Open - Many have sales!
