Meth Lab Shut Down, Canastota Man Facing Charges
The Madison County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Canastota man after shutting down an alleged meth lab.
49-year old Michael Funari is charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, unlawful disposal of meth lab material and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Funari's arrest follows a three-month long investigation.
Deputies say the home on Route 5 that housed the meth lab remains unfit for occupancy due to significant contamination.
Sheriff Allen Riley termed the lab to be “a substantial operation.”
