After a long delay, partially due to the 2011 flood, the Town of Union finally has a memorial to honor the victims of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks.

A dedication for the memorial, that includes a steel beam from Ground Zero was held September 11 at Highland Park in Endwell.

The event to remember the victims was part of a long list of commemorations on the 14th anniversary, including ceremonies in Binghamton, Owego, Apalachin, the campuses of SUNY Broome and Binghamton University and all around Twin Tiers and nation.
