The City of Rome is getting a facelift.

City crews have been repairing and replacing signs to help visitors and residents find their way around Rome.

Workers have erected new signs at four playgrounds and they've repaired and repainted most of the 14 blue and gold markers that designate historic locations in the city.

The city sign department also created new welcome signs for the main roads into the city on Erie Boulevard, Black River Boulevard, Route 49 and Turin Road.

A fifth sign will be put up this summer.
