Breaking News: NYSP Investigating Stabbing at Clark Street Home in Ilion [PHOTOS]

An investigation into a stabbing is underway at a house across the street from Remington Arms in Ilion.

UPDATED 4:27 pm- Ilion Police say a man was killed in this morning's stabbing.  A women is being questioned in the incident.

UPDATED 10/24/15 5:54 am- State and Ilion Police are investigating a fatal stabbing that happened on Friday at a home on Clark Street in Ilion.

66-year old Gary Eckler died at a local hospital. Police are questioning a woman who was at the scene, but have no suspects in custody.

Eckler was an off-ice official with the Utica Comets.

New York State Police and Ilion Police have cordoned off a home at 33 Clark Street in the village.

Remington Elementary School is not on lockdown.  An official who asked not to be identified confirmed that there was a stabbing and one man is injured. A woman is being questioned.

Area traffic is being redirected and authorities say much more will be released later in the day.
