New York State Unemployment Rate Falls In October

New York State's unemployment rate fell from 4.9 percent to 4.8 percent in October.

That's according to numbers released by the New York State Department of Labor.

Labor Department officials say the number of unemployed New Yorkers fell by 1,900 over the month.

Meanwhile, the state's economy has added 98,200  private sector jobs over the past year.
