Noah Syndergaard had 'a day' on the mound and at the plate on Wednesday leading the Mets to a 7-0 shutout of the rival Phillies that completed a three-game sweep - a nice bounce back from a weekend trip to Pittsburgh that saw the Pirates sweep New York.

Syndergaard was 3-for-3 at the plate with a long home run over the wall in center field and pitched into the eighth inning and exited to a standing ovation from the crowd at Citi Field. His final line was 7 and 1/3 innings with six hits, six K's and no walks.

In addition to Syndergaard's pop at the plate, Mets fans were treated to a pair of homers from Lucas Duda - his second multi-home-run game in a week - and bomb from Michael Cuddyer, his second homer of the series.

After scoring just four total runs in the three game sweep at the hands of Pittsburgh, the Mets put up 18 runs in their set with Philly.

The Mets are off Thursday and host the opener of a series with Miami on Friday night.
