NY Mills Man Charged With Stalking Oneida County Employee
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office has arrested a New York Mills man on several charges, including stalking.
Sheriff Maciol says, from March 15th to May 10th an email, a fax and an envelope were delivered to various departments at the Oneida County Office building.
The March 15th email claimed a county employee was resigning, on April 26th a fax was sent to a department containing slanderous comments about an employee and on May 10th an envelope was dropped off containing a harrassing note about a county employee.
Information gathered led investigators to 57-year-old Scott Phillips. He was located at a residence in New York Mills, he was interviewed and a search warrant was executed.
Phillips was ultimately arrested and is facing several charges, including Stalking, Forgery and Criminal Impersonation.
