The Oneida County Sheriff's Office has a man in custody following an alleged domestic incident in the Town of Bridgewater.

According to Sheriff Maciol, deputies responded to a residence on Babcock Hill Road just before 12:30 Tuesday morning.

Upon arrival, responding investigators determined that 37-year-old Leon Marriott had violated a lawfully served refrain from Order of Protection by punching the victim in the face, biting their nose causing swelling and minor bleeding.

Officials say, the victim was in fear of Marriott but was able to exit the residence and seek help.

The suspect fled prior to the arrival of deputies, but he was located a short time later at a family members house and taken into custody without incident.

Marriott is facing several charges and is awaiting arraingment at Oneida County Jail.
