The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is investigating an overnight incident at the SavOn Gas Station on Patrick Road in Verona that involved a car-pedestrian accident and possible stabbing.

Deputies say 22-year old Alison Jones of Syracuse was involved in an altercation with several people in the parking lot when she was struck by a vehicle.

They say the vehicle then fled the scene. Jones was taken to the hospital with leg injuries.

During their investigation, 21-year old Carl Black of Mattydale told deputies he had been cut by a kinfe during an altercation with another man.

Black only had a superficial wound and it is unknown at this time how he actually sustained that injury.

Black allegedly gave police a false name due to the fact there was an active warrant out for him. He was charged with false personation.
