Utica Mayor Robert Palmieri and leaders from the faith-based coalition Vision To Plant, say they'll continue their partnership to promote cooperation, unity and peace.

Four peace marches have been scheduled over the next several months to raise awareness and show community solidarity.

The marches will take place at 5:30 on the second Thursday of the months of June, July, August and September. The locations for each march will change to give different religious institutions the chance to host a march.

Last year, Palmieri and Police Chief Mark Williams reached out to the faith based community in hopes of forming new partnerships to enhance cooperation between residents and law enforcement.

Mayor Palmieri stated, “In order to improve safety and our overall quality of life we need to work with all willing community partners.  It is incumbent upon us to reach out and form partnerships and relationships with those who share our mission.
