The first 14 of 37 new patrol and transport vehicles have been delivered to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office.

The striping, radio and emergency light installations are underway.

The new vehicles are the result of a three-year lease agreement with Enterprise Rental.

Sheriff Rob Maciol says leasing the vehicles will provide substantial savings to taxpayers and provide the safest vehicles to the men and women who protect the county 24 hours a day.

The new vehicles are expected to be on the streets in about three weeks.
