Oneida County has won a court case against a man who was seeking a $5 million judgement against the county.

Travis Woods, who is wheelchair bound, was arrested in October of 2009 by Utica Police on drug charges.

A federal jury found that contrary to his claims, Woods was transported safely and securely to the County jail in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

County Executive Anthony Picente says they were willing to take the case all the way to court on behalf of the taxpayers and to stand up for what was right.
