Oneida Man Faces More Charges For Impersonating A Deputy
An Oneida man has been arrested for the second time this month for allegedly posing as a police officer.
22-year old Christopher DeFazio was arrested this week after a delivery driver came forward, claiming DeFazio conducted a traffic stop on him in the City of Oneida by activating a siren in his vehicle.
DeFazio told the victim he was an off-duty deputy sheriff.
A search warrant was executed on Defazio's pickup truck where several police items were located, including handcuffs, police clothing, a siren box with a microphone, speaker and PA system.
DeFazio is charged with criminal impersonation.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office is still seeking any information of other incidents of DeFazio impersonating a police officer.
You can contact Investigator Steve Sellin at (315) 366-3009 with any information.
