Parking Ticket Amnesty Period Underway In Herkimer

A "Parking Ticket Amnesty" period is underway in the Village of Herkimer.

If you have unpaid parking tickets, the village will grant amnesty on any late fees and will accept the original fines for tickets issued prior to May 7th.

The amnesty period will run until June 30th.

The Village will then actively step up the "booting" process of vehicles with overdue fines after the amnesty program ends.

Vehicles that have three unpaid parking tickets may be "booted".

To have a "boot" removed, the owner of the vehicle must pay a fee of $50.
