Poll Results: Are You Planning To Buy The iPhone?

Marcy, NY (WIBX) - Are Central New Yorkers among the seven million folks who pre-ordered or bought the new iPhone 5?

Apparently...not so much.  Seventy-five percent of our listeners said that they have no plans to purchase the iPhone 5.

On our Facebook page listener Mark Wiehenstroer said he "...liked when Jimmy Kimmel said, 'It's almost as if the new iPhone somehow ruins the old iPhone but it doesn't...' about a week ago.  So true."

Pre-orders topped the two million mark before the phones went on sale in stores on Friday as shoppers camped out in lines that last for days.  Several stores claimed to have only limited quantities of the phones in stock.  Still, Apple managed to sell an additional five million phones during Friday's offering.
