Clinton, NY (WIBX) - Shouldering a two-foot plumber's pipe wrench, painted with the stars and stripes, presidential hopeful and Conservative Republican John Davis met with residents around the Mohawk Valley in an effort to earn their vote in 2012. The presidential candidate has been "on tour" since January, vowing to visit every county in America.

With more than 3,000 counties within the United States, Davis is hoping his grass-roots effort will help separate him from the other Republicans running for President. "We knew we didn't have name recognition and I really wanted to do something that's never been done before" adding, "I wanted to set the bar so high that the other candidates wouldn't follow and that's why we decided to go to every county (in America). We're just out doing that, earning the right to be a candidate".

Davis, a home builder and small business owner from Colorado Springs, Colorado says that the two things people are telling him are that they want someone with business experience in the White House and that they don't want any more career politicians running the country.

The Nation's debt, Border Security and Import/Export trade agreements, especially with China, are just a few of the issues Davis is vowing to improve. The 56-year old has never held political office, but believes he has what it takes to fix America.
