David Price struck out seven over seven brilliant innings and Justin Smoak smoked Ivan Nova for a sixth-inning grand slam as the Toronto Blue Jays won their seventh straight, making another statement with Saturday's 6-0 win in the Bronx.

A night after the Jays' 2-1 ten-inning decision - called a 'statement' win by Toronto slugger Jose Bautista - New York saw it's AL East lead slip to 2.5 games, as the offense was held to a mere three singles and three walks on the afternoon.

Price upped his mark to 11-4 on the year and 2-0 since coming over in a trade from Detroit. Toronto's other big ticket acquisition, Troy Tulowitzski clubbed his third homer since moving to the American League.

Nova (4-4) took the loss, giving up four runs on four his in 5 and 1/3 innings.

New York will try to salvage the finale with Masahiro Tanaka (8-4) taking on Marco Estrada (9-6) on Sunday (1:05).
