Two people have been arrested for allegedly promoting prison contraband at the Oneida County Jail.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says Corrections Officers found a small amount of marijuana on inmate Matthew Carrion of Rome after a woman came to visit him.

Official says Mary Ellen Reilly of Whitesboro brought the pot into the jail and passed it over to Carrion during their visit.

Carrion and Reilly were both charged with introducing prison contraband. Carrion was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
