Rome Fire Department Receives New Equipment

The Rome Fire Department is getting some new equipment.

Through a $215,840 FEMA grant, the Fire Department was able to buy 39 new Self Contained Breathing Apparatus that provide fresh air to firefighters in hazardous environments.

Each member of the FD will be issued their own mask and will be equipped with new air packs that will replace older units that were purchased in 2001.
