Rome Man Crashes Car, Causes Power Outage
A Rome man was injured after crashing his car in the Town of Floyd.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 25-year old C.L. Velazquez lost control of his vehicle while rounding a curve on River Road.
The car left the road, hit a road sign, several small trees and the guide wires to a utility pole, causing a power outage in the area.
Velazquez was taken to the hospital for evaluation.
He was ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt, failure to keep right and speed not reasonable.
