A Rome man is facing burglary and criminal contempt charges after allegedly breaking into a home in Rome.

Rome police say 33 year old James Euson was found hiding under a bed in the victim's home, and police then discovered the victim also had an order of protection against Euson.

Police later learned that Euson had violated the order of protection by calling the victim repeatedly.

He was charged with the following:

  • Burglary in the second degree (felony)
  • Criminal Contempt in the first degree (felony)
  • Criminal Contempt in the second degree (misdemeanor)
  • Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree (misdemeanor)
  • Possession of burglary tools (misdemeaor)

Euson was taken into custody and sent to the Oneida County Jail on no bail.
