Utica Police and the Oneida County Drug Enforcement Task Force arrested 5 Utica residents after a 5 month investigation led to a 'no-knock' search warrant on Sunset Ave.

Police say after entering the apartment they found three loaded handguns, a loaded 12-gauge shotgun, heroin, marijuana and nearly 4 thousand dollars in cash.

Police arrested 21 year old Brandon Silvagnoli, 38 year old Ivan Rodriguez, 23 year old Silvano Roman, 18 year old Diemitri Silvagnoli and 22 year old Carlos Silvagnoli.

All five were charges with the following felonies and the investigation is continuing.

  • Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree - Class B Felony
  • Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree -  Class C Felony (3 counts - each handgun)
  • Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree - Class D Felony ( defaced gun)
  • Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree - Class D Felony (convicted felon in possession of three guns)
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree - class B Felony
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 4th degree - Class C Felony
  • Criminal possession of Stolen Property in the fourth degree - Class E Felony
  • Criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree - Class A Misdemeanor
  • Unlawful possession of marihuana - Violation

In addition, a 14 year old juvenile was also arrested on the following charges:

  • Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree -  Class C Felony (3 counts - each handgun)
  • Criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree - Class D Felony
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree  - class B Felony
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 4th degree - Class C Felony
  • Criminal possession of Stolen Property  in the fourth degree  - Class E Felony
  • Criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree  - Class A Misdemeanor
  • Unlawful possession of marihuana  - Violation

He was transported to the Utica Police Department and  later released to his mother and will appear  in Oneida County Family Court at a later date to answer these charges.
