Rome PD, Crime Stoppers Wanted Person of the Week

Mohawk Valley Crime Stoppers and the Rome City Police Department are asking for people to share information on the whereabouts of this week's Wanted Person of the Week.

According to Cpt. Kevin James, police are looking for 39-year-old Steven C. Cruz of W. Thomas Street in Rome on a handful of charges including Assault.

The first is a Bench Warrant for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing (A Misdemeanor) and Harassment (Violation), said James. These charges stem from a physical domestic incident that occurred in October of 2020. The second warrant is an Arrest Warrant for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing (A Misdemeanor), 2 counts of Criminal Mischief (A Misdemeanor), Unlawful Imprisonment (A Misdemeanor), and Assault 3^rd (A Misdemeanor). These charges stem from a physical domestic that occurred a few days ago.

Police say, these incidents did not involve the same victim. Cruz has a last known address on W. Thomas St. in the City of Rome.
