Rome Police Investigating M&T Bank Robbery

Rome, NY (WIBX) -The M&T Bank on Black River Boulevard North is closed, following a morning robbery.

Rome Police say a lone person entered the bank shortly before 11 a.m. on Tuesday and demanded money.

The suspect later got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say no one was harmed during the robbery and no weapons were displayed or mentioned.

The suspect was last seen running towards the back of the Mohawk Acres Shopping Center, and was wearing a dark hooded jacket, dark blue or black pants and dark colored shoes.
