A Rome woman has been arrested following a Car-Pedestrian accident in the Town of Westmoreland.

Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the scene on East Main Street Saturday morning just after 2:30 a.m.

Officials say, 37-year-old Nicole Mulroney of Rome was driving her vehicle west when she struck 24-year-old Jacob Landry of Westmoreland as he was walking in the shoulder of the road.

The Oneida County STOP-DWI unit responded to scene and arrested Mulroney for allegedly Driving While Intoxicated.

In addition to the DWI charge, Mulroney is facing an assault charge and additional traffic tickets.

A second pedestrian who was walking with Landry was evaluated at a local hospital for a leg injury.
