Royals Blank Yankees 6-0
Felipe Paulino struck out eight Yankees over 6 2/3 innings of six-hit ball as the Kansas City Royals pounced on Hiroki Kuroda early to breeze to a 6-0 in the Bronx on Monday night.
Mike Moustakas belted a two run shot in the first inning off of Kuroda (3-6) who allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks over 5 1/3 innings.
Jeff Francoeur added a two run homer of his own in the seventh off of Freddy Garcia - who also allowed a run in the next inning on a wild pitch.
Alex Rodriguez and Russell Martin combined for four of New York's seven hits.
The loss drops the pinstripes to 21-21.
