Voters are heading to the polls today to decide on school budgets and school board candidates.Prominent issues among school board candidates this year are Common Core standards, teacher evaluations and charter schools.

In Utica, residents will vote on a $146 million budget that contains a 1.25% property tax increase.

There are no open school board seats.

Polls will be open until 9:00.

Voters in the Rome School District will decide on a $107 million spending plan with a 2.5%  tax hike.

11 candidates are running for three seats on the school board.

Polls are open in Rome until 8:00
