Search Warrant Led To Suspects Arrest On Drug Charges

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Following the execution of a search warrant at a home in Utica, local law enforcement officials are reporting the arrest of a suspect on drug charges. Police say, the investigation into the sale and distribution of narcotics, led to the arrest of 31-year-old Jennifer M. Lugo.

During the search at the suspect's home at 204 Pellettieri Avenue in Utica, officials allegedly seized a quantity of cocaine, marijuana, scales, money and drug packaging material. Lugo is facing the following charges:

• Criminal Possession of a controlled substance, 7th-A misdemeanor
• 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd- B felony
• 3 counts of Criminal Use of drug paraphernalia, 2nd- A misdemeanor
• Unlawful Possession of marijuana- violation

The search warrant and subsequent arrest was carried out by Utica Police Department's Metro Unit, aided by the U.S. Marshal's Service NY/NJ Regional Task Force, Oneida County Drug Task Force and Utica/New Hartford Emergency Response Team
