
Second Horse Dies From EEE In Oneida County
A second horse in Oneida County has died from Eastern Equine Encephalitis.
The Oneida County Health Department says the one and-a-half year old horse in the Town of Vienna died of the virus last weekend.
Positive EEE results were reported by the Wadsworth Lab in Albany this week.
A horse in the Town of Trenton that was euthanized last week also tested positive for the mosquito-borne virus.
Madison County officials have also reported a horse death from EEE.
