BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is continuing her push for paid family leave.

The New York Democrat launched a statewide tour earlier this week to build support for the Family and Medical Insurance Leave Act she reintroduced earlier this month.

She'll meet with business leaders in Buffalo on Thursday.

The federal legislation would establish a paid family and medical leave insurance program that Gillibrand says would save people from having to choose between a paycheck and caring for themselves or a family member.
