
Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team Holds Graduation
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office held a graduation ceremony today for 12 members of the Corrections Division who recently completed several weeks of specialized training to become members of the Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team.
Sheriff Rob Maciol says the certified SERT members respond to and deal with high risk situations within the Correctional Facility.
The officers will be called upon at any time to handle situations that require a higher level of training and skills.
The Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team was founded in the early 1990’s by retired Sheriff Daniel Middaugh.
The Officers that successfully completed this specialized training and that are now part of the Oneida County S.E.R.T. include:
