Should Twitter Increase Its Character Limit?

Should social media site Twitter increase its character limit?

Twitter executives are said to be working on expanding their site to include more characters than the 140 currently permitted.  Some have said that the limit may go as high as 10,000 characters.

Do you think that the move is a good one or should Twitter maintain its 140-character limit?
