The financial battle between Time Warner Cable and CBS has hit the local cable system.  While Time Warner has allowed CBS affiliate WTVH to remain on the cable system, they have removed Showtime and The Movie Channel (TMC) from their lineup.  The removal of the pay channel will effect cable subscribers in Rome, Oneida, Utica and the Mohawk Valley.  Time Warner has offered replacement programming by adding Starz and Encore for subscribers who don't already have it.  It's not known how long the blackout will last.
