Smart Shopper Coupon Book Turns 30

2014 is the 30th anniversary of the Smart Shopper Coupon book that offers discounts and deals to hundreds of area businesses.

In its 30 years, Smart Shopper has partnered with many different charities including hospitals, schools, The American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association's Heart Run and Walk.

Elizabeth Droz of Smart Shopper says using the books for fundraising is very simple.

Charities buy the books on consignment with no obligation and get to keep half of the $20 each book costs, and unsold books can be returned at no charge.

Droz says over the years she estimate that Smart Shopper has raised thousands of dollars for local charities, and with over 350 businesses offering discounts in the book it's a great fundraiser to take advantage of.
