St. Elizabeth's Medical Center held a point of dispensing drill today to ensure that the hospital is able to mass-vaccinate or administer medication rapidly to as many staff members as possible.

Director of Infection Prevention for the Mohawk Valley Health System Heather Bernard says they run the drill every year to practice vaccinating as many people as possible over a short period of time.

She says while this is a great way to vaccinate hospital employees, the drill also serves as training in case the public also had to be mass-vaccinated .

Bernard added that today they were able to give flu shots to 500 employees in about an hour and 45 minutes.
